Small Business PR Help – Dear Sir… the power of letters to the editor

This is an extract from the 30 Day PR Challenge by Nigel Morgan

Linda Cronin / Foter

Editors love and loathe those letters that get sent to them every single day courtesy of email and while they are proof that people are excited by their publication, they often need editing and some are merely likely to inspire angry ripostes!

So every now and then when a well-articulated missive adds to the debate, they get excited and the name of the author will stick… could that be your name?

Pay attention to the discussions on the Letters page and look at the news for discussions that are relevant to you. Do not be too pushy or salesy for such letters are rarely published, but your name will be remembered. Talk about your experience to show you know what you are talking about.

This can open the door in the same way being a Citizen Journalist can.

Remember to use Organic PR and tell your social media audience about your letter!

We get charitable tomorrow.
