This is an extract from the 30 Day Twitter Challenge by @NikkiPilkington
After asking for the reTweet yesterday it seems only fair that we reciprocate today.
So, looking through your timeline, find people with interesting things to say, and reTweet them.
I’m going to ask you to make at least 3 of your reTweets today from people you don’t usually interact with.
It could be a link they’re sharing, or a quotation, maybe a thought, or a picture – reTweet them to your followers – you never know when you may want them to do the same.
Retweeting someone new not only puts you on their radar, but it shows that you’re not just retweeting the same people all the time, which can come across as a little ‘cliquey’.
And you never know – that new contact could become invaluable in the future!
As an added bonus, if you’re not signed up already, I’d like you to sign up to Buffer: http://bufferapp.com/r/cf9b8 (that’s an aff link but I don’t make any money, just get brownie points!).
Buffer allows you to add Tweets to a kind of storage area, and have them Tweeted out at intervals, rather than bombarding followers with a series of 5 or 6 Tweets – we’ve all seen that happen and know how annoying it is.
The great thing about Bufferapp is that you can schedule reTweets too (via the Twitter site) so that you don’t just reTweet 5 people in a row and then do nothing for the rest of the day.
I’ll recommend Buffer later on in this program too, so it’s worth signing up and adding the browser add-on.
So, think about reTweets today!
